The Setup™ Brand was started around the year 2000 by a couple of design students with a passion for push bikes who wanted to create a some tee's for the crew to wear whilst messing around on bicycles.
We got our first t-shirt design printed in the summer of 2000 and sold it to friends and friends of friends based around our local scene in Derbyshire, England. We wanted to produce a clean grafik brand with quality casual garments for mountain bike riders. Skate, BMX and Snowboard has always had a good history of design orientated clothing brands and we wanted to produce the same for the MTB generation. Folk seemed to like what we were doing and we trundled on for a few years printing a few batches a year and developing our ideas and the brand in our spare time. In 2005 / 2006 it got a bit more serious with some t-shirts for sale via our website and a few adverts in Dirt mountain bike magazine for our increasingly extended clothing range. We have had some highs and lows in the following years both on the bike and in the office. Learnt lots, visited many places and ridden down many trails.Which brings us to 2010 and our current range. Its a compact range of tees and hoods as always inspired by our love of design, typography and bikes. Our original ethos of simple, geometrical and bold designs still stands. No death rock, goth shit and as always we try to steer clear of obvious cheesy bike slogans and prints.Mountain Bike riding has always been a big part of our lives and you can find us on our bikes up in the woods most weekends and summer evenings. We have no corporate backers so what we produce comes straight from the heart. Hope you enjoy the products and we always enjoy a bit of feedback from our customers!
